Registration is now open in Brazil for an Erasmus+ international project course that examines the on-demand economy

Registration is now open for the second session of the free online course on the Gig Economy (on-demand economy), offered by the Integrated University Center, located in Campo Mourão in the interior of Paraná, in partnership with the European Erasmus+ program. The project is part of an international study that analyzes changes in labor relations in different countries, including Brazil.

The course is part of the project “On-Demand Economy in the European Union: Legal, Economic, Sociocultural, and Political Implications,” led by the Integrated University Center of Campo Mourão. The initiative focuses on analyzing the working conditions of self-employed professionals who work without a formal employment relationship, such as ride-hailing drivers and on-demand service providers.

Free Online Course

The new class will begin on May 29, with classes held remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The total course load will be 54 hours, divided into 6 modules with materials in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, in addition to simultaneous translation into Portuguese. The course will feature eight instructors—four Brazilian and four international—all of whom hold PhDs and have international experience.

Interested applicants must have completed or be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and may apply through May 27, 2025, at https://gigeconomy.grupointegrado.br. Fifty spots will be available for this session.
